"I want to make clear that what we are witnessing here is a typical charade that we’ve seen before. We saw it in relation to Iraq. We saw it in relation to Afghanistan. We saw it, basically, in relation to what we call the ‘false flag’ event of 9/11. The pretext on the part of the United States is that it is not itself intending to attack Iran. But, if Iran responds to an Israeli attack, the United States would immediately join with Israel in responding to Iran with military action. That is the charade. The United States is fully targeting Iran in an election year and in particular with respect to the crises of capitalism on a global scale, with which the U.S. rulers always respond with war and more war. That’s what’s going on here."
